Gazbiah Sans - Strategic Collaboration with Protective Intelligence Network

We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Ms Gazbiah Sans, a leading international expert in preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) and her company "PVE Works"

Gazbiah Sans - Strategic Collaboration with Protective Intelligence Network

She has built her reputation on bridging the gap between academic insight, field research, and practical policy solutions.

Her expertise spans online extremism, disinformation, gender dynamics in radicalisation, and youth vulnerability, making her a sought-after voice in global counter-extremism initiatives.

Gazbiah Sans has over 15 years of experience, notably with USAID in Cameroon on the Boko Haram affected Lake Chad Basin Region and with the World Bank in Afghanistan.

Through her company PVE Works, American - French Gazbiah Sans leads innovative projects and training programmes that support governments, civil society, and the private sector in strengthening resilience against extremist narratives. She works across both the digital environment and the physical sphere, designing interventions that address the full spectrum of risk: from misogyny-driven online movements to community-level prevention of violence.

Currently serving with the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Stabilisation Unit as a deployable civilian expert, and with UNDP as a specialist in Countering and Preventing Violent Extremism (C/PVE), Gazbiah also sits as a member of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation. She contributes regularly to the Global Network on Extremism & Technology (GNET) and is actively engaged in the "Christchurch Call" organisation, reflecting her deep involvement in multi-stakeholder partnerships that bring together tech platforms, policymakers, and researchers to build safer online ecosystems.

Gazbiah’s work places particular emphasis on tech, gender and child protection in the context of extremism, highlighting the urgent need for tech accountability in addressing online misogyny, and recognising that women and children are not only victims of violent ideologies but can also be mobilised by them. Her programmes help organisations identify these dynamics and develop tailored responses.
