Strategic Collaboration with NTU's ROSE Lab

Protective Intelligence Network is proud to announce a high-level research collaboration with the Rapid-Rich Object Search (ROSE) Lab at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). NTU is a globally recognized research-intensive public university in Singapore and is one of Asia’s leading academic institutions. This collaboration with the ROSE Lab is a forward-looking initiative that underscores our commitment to security innovation and social resilience.

Established in 2012, the ROSE Lab is a recognized research center specializing in computer vision, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence (AI). Its interdisciplinary work spans the application of cutting-edge machine learning, domain generalisation, and optimisation techniques for real-world challenges.

This strategic partnership focuses on the early detection of harmful online content to prevent youth radicalisation.

The initiative, is led by

  • Prof Wen Bihan Director of NTU's ROSE Lab

  • Dr Dennis Sng Deputy Director & Principal Scientist of the NTU's ROSE Lab, in collaboration with

  • Prof Rohan Gunaratna, a leading global authority in counter-terrorism and Security Studies professor at NTU.

This project represents a critical step forward in national security research and protection of our youth.

Protective Intelligence Network will brings to this collaboration extensive operational experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT), threat detection, digital risk analysis, and extremist content monitoring. Our role will be instrumental in contributing field knowledge and analytic capabilities to support the development of AI-based tools capable of identifying and mitigating radicalising narratives before they take root.

This collaboration reinforces our mission: to proactively address evolving threats through intelligent, evidence-based solutions, and to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s national security ecosystem.

This initiative underscores Singapore’s continued commitment to proactive threat prevention, particularly in the digital domain where early detection of harmful content can play a decisive role in safeguarding youth from radicalisation.

It also reflects the strategic value of multi-stakeholder collaboration, combining academic depth, real-world intelligence experience**, and policy focus to build innovative, scalable solutions to emerging security challenges.
